You can farm or run missions for money if you have nightfall. You can search forums for that info too.

The best tip for making money is to not buy stuff on a whim. Save up money and set specific goals for yourself.

Oh, and use id kits on EVERYTHING, including white items, which will often double in merchant value.

If you beat Factions you have the ability to put the game on hard mode. Vanquishing is where you go back and COMPLETELY clear a map of EVERYTHING in it. Kill every mob and you usually will get 500g - 5k depending on the map size.

Keep in mind that hard mode is well, hard so make sure you have proper heroes and equipment/builds.

Read up on the wiki about hard mode and popular builds, the triple necro team usually works well.

"Vanquishing" is done by going out in a zone in hard mode and killing every enemy in that zone. You'll get plenty of drops (including gold items) and you get a cash bonus at the end of each zone.

It's not really "quick" money, but it's fun and it adds up.

EDIT: one minute too slow

Why don't you try soloing? W/Rt is pretty easy and there are guides to where you can farm.

About the ID'ing... the whites will only go up when your in the "later part(s)" of the game - like don't go right outside of Ascalon in normal mode, kill a Grawl, and expect a big return on a white item. But if you kill say, a Kournan... or some monster from later parts of the campaign, ID'ing whites can, indeed, double the value (or even more) of an item.

Also you might want to look into prices or runes/insignias that you find on armor drops, and salvage/sell those instead of just merching the armor drop.

Also... like somebody else said, just don't randomly buy things you don't "need." (I won't get into the need vs. want thing)

I`ve been playing basically since the game came out and haven`t really had any problems making money, but then I don`t mind hours of mindless farming. I`ve never done DOA, rarely UW or FOW, just do quest and missions and the gold will come.

As suggested, try to save up (not to spend) for a start. After which, do check the farming threads here. Not really sure what campaigns or class you have, so its better you drop by there to take a look.

Your goal is easily attainable if you are willing to spend some amount of time to farm. Or if you do vanquishing like what was previously suggested, you can earn money at a slower rate, but have fun at the same time

If you have been playing as long as you say, you should have earned more than 25k. I'm willing to bet you did, but have spent a large amount of it. Some things are bought regularly, and you need to spend the money on them. Identification and Salvage kits are one of those items. However, you do not need to buy a Superior Salvage kit for 2k, when you can buy an Expert for 400g. This may seem like a small savings, but it adds up over time. You can also get free Superior Salvage kits from Imperial Quartermasters, Smugglers, etc. The only time a Superior Salvage kit is worth using over an Expert is when you do a LONG dungeon/mission with multiple drops worth salvaging. FoW for example will easily get you large piles of white weapons not worth selling to the merchant. However, you can salvage them for Iron, Granite, Wood, etc. and sell that to the Materials Traders. Since they pile up to 250, it takes up less space then the plethora of junk drops.

Keys. They are good for Treasure Hunter, but not good for making money. The chances of getting an item worth more than the cost of the key is quite small. At most, you will end up finding a mod to salvage and sell. Unless you want to work on Treasure Hunter, don't waste money on keys (or Lockpicks).

If you pick up everything you can, sell everything you don't need, and only buy what you NEED, you come out ahead. Even by just doing quests/missions, you make money.

Making money is more about careful spending then it is about farming.

Well, I found a spot in Nightfall where there's about 7 bosses that I kill in one run. I can sell those items anywhere from 2k-5k...

So trading doesn't really help making money, does it?

Trading requires money to make money.

Don't buy ID kits either. Make a new char, and complete all the newbie island quests, use the tokens they give you to trade for ID kits.

Its probably not worth the time to do the noobland quests for an ID kit which is worth 100g. But yeah, ID whites, farm, run, HM are all pretty good ways. If u have EotN there are good farms there as well.

Money makes money.Trading things for the purpose of making a profit can be a good way to make money too - I usually use it to fund all my 'wants' and use gold earnt playing the game to fund my 'needs'. Admittedly if you have low capital then you have to start small and work your way up but when don't you have to do that? ^^ I'd also agree with not spending gold on things you don't need; untill at least you can afford to.
